Located just 30 minutes west of Seattle by ferry, Bainbridge Island is one of several islands that line the West Coast of Washington State in Puget Sound. Green spaces such as Battle Point Park welcome visitors for a variety of events every year, including the annual Bluegrass Festival with music, food and more. The Meadowmeer Golf & Country Club is the local golf course, featuring narrow fairways and some water hazards. A number of bed and breakfast accommodations are available on the island, adding to the comfortable atmosphere. The arts are well represented on Bainbridge Island as well; a variety of art is available at shops such as Martin Metal or the Mesolini Glass Studio, allowing visitors to discover unique work by local artists. The Farmer's Market is another popular draw for visitors and locals alike, and takes place on Saturdays at City Hall Park.
